I am inspired by Lady Sommerville's pursuit of self-education. She was self-taught as her family was against formal education for women. She was a publishsed mathmetician, astrologist and she laid groundwork for the discovery of Neptune. She explains, “I thought it unjust that women should have been given a desire for knowledge when it was wrong to acquire it.” Curiousity feeds me, so this second brain collection is far larger than these few pages online.
